Air checks are usually tedious, only a bit more fun than dental surgery. But they don’t have to be. It takes time, commitment and creativity to improve on-air performance through air checks. And it is a grind. But the air check Pay Off session is one of the most fun types of meetings for both personalities and programmers.
Sometimes evaluating every detail in a break is counter-productive. Rather than a general air check session that includes reviewing the Pay Off, focus attention only on the end of each break.
This is a highly effective technique when working with shows that have trouble finding the high point at the end or fail to get out on time.
