In the Jab-Jab-Punch format structure for information segments, each Jab should acknowledge, frame, and move quickly. If it starts explaining, expanding, or competing with the Punch, it’s too long and is in the way. It needs to be trimmed. This evaluation checklist for Jabs is a convenient form to use in aircheck sessions when evaluating information segments such as news, sports, entertainment reports, and anything that follows the Jab-Jab-Punch format flow.
