Ask The Experts Question: Is Teasing Really That Important?

Question for Ask The Experts: My PD doesn’t believe in teasing. She says that teasing future content without delivering value breaks the trust between the creator and the consumer, causing them to feel manipulated, and they tend to leave because they are not a captive audience. Instead of teasing, she says I need to get right to the point and not waste time on content that isn’t happening right now. What do you say about that?

Answer: You’re absolutely right about one thing: no one is captive anymore. But that’s exactly why teasing matters more now, not less. Let me explain.
