Fix Your Show In 30 Days Playbook

Fix Your Show: Week 4: Content Is King. Promotion Is Queen

You just spent three weeks fixing the show. You identified the problems, removed what was holding you back, and implemented a single solution that will anchor your show. Now comes the part most shows underperform on Making it matter. We love saying “Content is King.” And it’s true. Without strong content, nothing else works. But content without promotion is invisible. And invisible content does not grow an audience. Promotion is Queen.

Promotion Is Queen: But Promotion Is Not Hype. It Is Distribution

Your audience is not waking up thinking,

“I hope someone gives me more content today.”

They are drowning in it.

Hundreds of hours of video are uploaded every minute. Millions of podcast episodes are available on demand. There are endless streaming shows on infinite services. The scroll feed never stops.

Your show is not competing with other radio stations. It is competing with everything.

If you made improvements in Weeks 2 and 3 but don’t clearly communicate them, the audience may never notice.

That is why promotion is not optional. It is structural.

When we talk about promotion in this Playbook, we are not talking about more social posts, emails, or random promos.

That is noise.

Promotion is a distribution strategy.

It is making sure your best content is heard often enough, teased clearly, and positioned memorably.

If people are not exposed to it, they cannot form a habit around it.
