Over the years, online music research has prospered. It’s now accepted as an effective, affordable method of gathering data. And programmers use the information to make critical decisions. But response rates have plummeted.

There are many reasons for it, but there’s one problem that deserves more attention. It may be the #1 reason for declining response rates.

In most cases, a user takes the survey, submits their opinion and that’s where engagement ends. There’s no follow up, no thank you, and they can hardly tell if their responses were received, considered or mattered.

That’s not only missing an opportunity, it’s rude!

All you have to do to improve audience engagement is finish the communication process. Be polite and demonstrate how their opinion matters.
