Great personalities are likable, warm, and friendly. Part of that is in the presentation, but there are other components. Every personality can improve their show by learning to “ize” their personality, and the best way to do that is at the beginning of a talk segment. The hand shake transitions from one type of content (usually music) to another (usually talk). It’s a tricky skill. Personalities should be disciplined not to waste time with idle chit-chat, but abruptly launching into a topic is rude and abrupt.
