Air Check Sessions

The Imaging Aircheck

Your show shouldn’t sound like it’s running on last year’s leftovers. At most stations, even in big markets, updating imaging is one of those “I’ll get to it when I can” jobs. And since everyone’s busy, it quietly slips down the priority list. After all, nothing’s wrong with the existing sweepers, opens, or feature intros, right? They still play. They still identify the station. So why bother? When you conduct the imaging aircheck once a quarter (or so), you’ll discover hidden problems that you can fix.

Imaging is the frame around your content. And if the frame is dated, stale, or out of sync with your personality, the entire show suffers. That’s why the Imaging Aircheck is such a valuable theme. Instead of focusing on performance or storytelling, this session evaluates the production elements that surround the show—and asks: Do they amplify the brand, or drag it down?
