As the confetti from New Year’s Eve settles, memories of the past year blend with those of the years before. “Was It Last Year?” is a radio game show that puts contestants’ memory and knowledge of recent events to the test.
The premise is simple, but its execution can make for a fun game to play in early January because it’s so hard to remember exactly when something happened. Sometimes, we think of an event as being recent, though it happened quite some time ago. In others, we think it happened long ago, even though it was recent.
