Teases

Each Tease Should Be Search Proof

Great teases create curiosity, inspire interest, and cause the audience to feel that they may be missing out on something if they don’t tune in. That used to be easier because information moves fast today. If you give up too much information, a listener can find the story on their own. If you give too little, it may not be compelling enough to generate interest. Finding the sweet spot is an art, and the guiding principle is that each tease should be search proof. In other words, the most valuable nugget should be withheld so the audience needs you for the payoff.
